"What Are Your Friends Worth?"

Friends is something that pretty much everyone has. But have you ever taken a minute to really sit and think about what your friends are doing to benefit YOU in the longevity of your life? What is something that they are bringing to the table to help you accomplish your goals? Are they really helping push or just holding you back while they sit and do nothing for themselves?

These are some of the questions that I think people don't really take the time to reflect on that much. When you have a group of people that are all pushing forward to better themselves and you have a freeloader friend that brings NOTHING to the table, yet they always want something from you, those people need to be CUT LOOSE. There's just some things you need to let go and that includes people. Your team is only as strong as your weakest link. I myself have been fortunate enough to weed out the snakes, fakes, trouble makers, phonies, frauds, and all around losers in life from my friends. If you're a grown ass man with no job, no car, living at home with your parents still trying to party every week or go clubbing and get at "hoes" you've got priorities BACKWARDS. And I'm not saying that just because you don't have a job or car or live at home that people should cut you off. Its all about the MENTALITY to want to better yourself and at least making the effort and wanting to do so. I'll be damned if Im gonna push hard to achieve my goals and people wanna freeload and join the bandwagon of success. If you call yourself a "friend" and you're not riding with me through the lows, there's NO WAY I'm gonna let you ride with me through the highs. And if you have friends that are CONSTANTLY involved in negativity, drama, or trouble, they need to go to. Thats only keeping a black cloud of unnecessary bullsh*t around you and it only takes one thing for you to lose focus on what you're trying to do.

Overall, basically what I'm saying is really reflect on the people you hang out with in your life and really look at them in the LONG TERM. It might be fun and games for now but there's gonna be a time to grow up and if people aren't on the same page you need to keep pushing forward and LEAVE THEM BEHIND. You can still be cool with them but keep your distance and never lose focus on what YOU need to do...

  1. I must admit that I myself agree with everything that you have said in this post. And anyone that disagrees with this clearly has a misunderstanding about life itself.

  2. Dang it's crazy when u read something that holds so much truth only one person really comes to mind. Guess it's about time to let the dead weights go so I can climb my ladder of success. I love the blogs you write that opens minds to actually think, unlike other blogs that claim to "spit the truth" lol. Keep it going!
